Fine Art and Design in the fashionable south-eastern district of Oakley. The current pair of exhibitions feature "Naturally - Inspired" works by painter Adam Hayward and photographer Lisa Britton, running at least through June with a likely one week overrun.
Hayward's oil paintings are infused with a magical realism and a glow of shades of blue and gold that recall Maxfield Parrish. "Indigo Dawn" startles with its detailed trees leaning over a rock gorge, within which mists recede over rocks in water under a preternaturally blue sky.
Hayward Show Extended - Eloquent and Ambitious Landscapes
Bold and Beautiful is the best description of the large-scale landscapes in Cincinnatian Adam Hayward's exhibition, The Lyrical Light of Nature.

There's no better way to welcome summer officially than with artist Adam Hayward's bright exhibition of of oil paintings, The Lyrical Light of Nature, currently showing at the Phyllis J. Weston-Anne Bolling Galleries (3235 Madison Road, Oakley). Focusing on the seemingly ordinary pictures of nature around him, Hayward's renderings are distinctly vibrant in color choice and shading. With small, almost impercetible brush strokes, he brings each flowering branch or sweeping scene alive with realistic shadowing.
